ASA Schools Reopen After Hurricanes

ASA Schools Want You To Know – They Are “Open For Business”.

If you have been thinking about a sailing vacation but putting it off, or if you were planning one but now think the recent hurricane damage in Florida, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean make that unlikely, you might be surprised to learn that many ASA schools are open and ready for your business even in the aftermath of the numerous hurricanes.

The news coverage of the damage has led many people to think that their plans to enroll in sailing classes or to charter a sailboat this fall and winter will have to be postponed or cancelled. But, amazingly, even in the most damaged areas, through preparation, seasonal boat movement, or just plain luck, there are ASA Certified Sailing Schools ready for classes and charters, and they want ASA to let you know!

As they rebuild, schools that lost everything in the hurricane can make community referral arrangements with other operating schools. So, make that sailing vacation plan you’ve been wanting, not just for yourself, but also for the schools, charter companies, and communities who really need your business during the recovery. You can also help them get back on their feet by donating to ASA’s Hurricane Relief Fund by visiting americansailing.com/donate.

So, why not reach out to one of our many schools in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean to find out what they have to offer!
