Learn to Sail While On Vacation

What could be better than getting away and learning to sail to refresh your zest for life?

If you have completed your ASA 101 training and have been sailing for a while, it might be time to move to the next level. This is the time to consider advancing your sailing education by earning your ASA 103 Basic Coastal Cruising and ASA 104 Bareboat Cruising certifications.

A learn-to-sail vacation might be just the ticket to disconnecting from your day-to-day while leveling up your sailing skills and taking in some new views.

American Sailing schools around the world offer learn-to-sail vacations where you can advance your sailing education while going on vacation. So instead of weekends cramming in information, you can be in the Caribbean practicing your skills daily while island hopping each afternoon and finding a beach bar at night.

Sailing is a lifestyle, and what better way to learn about that lifestyle than by engaging in a full blown sailing vacation that happens to come with a side of sailing education.

Learn to sail vacations combine all of the elements of a typical charter boat vacation with the components of an ASA Sailing Certification Course. This type of vacation usually includes sailing instruction, hands-on practice, and leisure time to explore the surrounding area. During a learn-to-sail vacation, participants may stay on board the sailboat or in nearby accommodations such as hotels or apartments. The vacation may include other activities such as snorkeling, fishing, or visiting local attractions, depending on the location and itinerary.
